GRATITUDE FOR GOOD

I imagine the wide-eyed stares and excitement of the kids at Jelly Tots Educare (Cape Town, South Africa) as the red-netted toy bin is placed in the courtyard and the lid opened. Tiny hands gripping brightly colored blocks, plastic people and animals that are exactly the right size to slot into cars and planes, parts of which are soon spread all over the floor.
Shhhhhhh! Don't wake the sleeping babies...
Check out our latest photos from Jelly Tots daycare in Imizamo Yethu township, South Africa. The tots use their new mattresses every day and can now sleep in peace and dignity (no more sleeping on bath towels on the cold floor). A big thank you to all the donors!

A chocolate chip cookie. A few minutes’ happiness and peace with a mug of tea, coffee or after school. But it can be so much more! This particular tasty treat has helped with fundraising via our "Cakes for Kids" bake sales which helped raise almost $2400 for the Jelly Tots Educare Center in South Africa.
These pre-school children now have mattresses for nap-time and no longer have to sleep on the floor. Work is beginning on the playground to provide safe play and extending learning opportunities. And their parents can work to support their households, safe in the knowledge that younger family members are cared for in a safe, educational environment.
