GRATITUDE FOR GOOD

When Krista was diagnosed with a large and rare brain tumour just a few weeks before she was due to climb Mt Kenya in 2012, she was not only very shocked but also very disappointed to not be able to join the team. However, thankfully, the operation to remove the tumor was very successful and Krista has made a remarkable recovery and is now back to full health.
Along with her husband, Jean-Marc, she will be climbing Mt Kenya in aid of maisha in January 2013 and after all they have gone through, the adventure is going to be even more special. This adventure is going to be tough both physically and mentally but they are more determined than ever to reach the summit culminating at almost 5000 metres and to raise money to help build a new home for the maisha orphans.
When the tumour was discovered, Krista and Jean-Marc had already raised over $7000 and are very grateful to all those who contributed. This comeback climb will allow them not only to honour the sponsors who have already supported them, but hopefully to raise even more money for Maisha by giving a chance to those who wanted to sponsor them, but didn’t have the opportunity…
100% of the proceeds from the climb will go directly towards Maisha’s project to build a new home for the orphans.
